Over the next 15 days, the members of the Blue Sky Rescue Team covered a total of 10 provinces and municipalities, including Phnom Penh, Kandal Province, Takeo Province, Preah Sihanouk Province, Kampong Chhnang Province, Siem Reap Province, Preah Vihear Province, Kompong Cham Province, Kampong Thom Province, and Tbong Khmum Province. They traveled a distance of over 1,400 kilometers and completed disinfection operations at more than 50 public places, such as hospitals, schools, markets, government offices, military camps, communities, hotels, and stations. The disinfected area amounted to 1,588,587 square meters, directly benefiting 54,000 people. Their efforts created certain conditions for the resumption of work, study, and business activities in various parts of Cambodia.
Meanwhile, at the Friendship Tower, which houses the Office of the Council of Ministers of Cambodia, the Blue Sky Rescue Team handed over to the Cambodian NGO Forum 280,000 surgical masks, 900 pieces of DuPont protective clothing, 200 mist sprayers and some disinfectants donated by the China Charity Federation. These supplies were worth 1.288 million yuan (about 180,000 US dollars).
During their stay in Cambodia, the Blue Sky Rescue Team was highly commended by all sectors of Cambodian society as well as overseas Chinese in Cambodia. Wherever they went, the local government, military, police, and the public extended a warm welcome and provided considerate hospitality.
