At 19:55, the first echelon of the Dazhou team, consisting of 13 people including Qin Fangjun, Li Changqing, Wu Jing, Chen Houbin, Zeng Guochuan, Liu Yuanhong, Chen Zhongquan, Lei Shaoshan, Yu Zhouwen, Canglang, Weng Wubing, Li Jijun, and Xu Peng, set off from the Nanwai Expressway Intersection in Dazhou in 2 vehicles to head for the rescue site in Mao County to participate in the rescue work.


At 21:10, the first echelon of the Guang'an team, with 5 people including Du Jin, Tang Youfa, Xu Hui, Peng Tingbing, and Yan Xiaoping, set off from Lianhua Middle Road in the urban area of Guang'an in 2 vehicles, heading for the rescue site in Diexi Town, Mao County to participate in the rescue operation.
