The rescue operation of the landslide in Lishui, Zhejiang in 2015

The Blue Sky Rescue Team deployed 229 people from 70 teams to participate in this rescue operation.

At 22:50 on November 13, 2015, a landslide occurred in Lidong Village, Yaxi Town, Liandu District, Lishui, Zhejiang. The volume of the landslide was more than 300,000 cubic meters, resulting in 27 houses being buried and 21 houses flooded.


The command center of the Blue Sky Rescue launched the rescue operation immediately. At 00:23 on November 14, the Lishui branch of the Blue Sky Rescue was dispatched to rush to the landslide site. The rescue lasted for four days. In this operation, the Blue Sky Rescue deployed a total of 229 rescuers from 70 branches, 62 vehicles, with a cumulative service time of 27,082 hours.


    In this rescue operation:
1.The Jiaxing branch of the Blue Sky Rescue, working together with the armed police, retrieved 2 bodies of the deceased.
2.The Ningbo and Jinhua branches of the Blue Sky Rescue, collaborating with the firefighters, dug out 3 bodies of the deceased.
3.The members of Search and Rescue Group 2, in coordination with the armed police force, unearthed 1 body of a female victim and 2 bodies of male victims.
4.The fifth search and rescue team of the Blue Sky Rescue, in cooperation with the public security and armed police, found 1 body of the deceased.
In total, in cooperation with other rescue parties, 9 bodies of the deceased were retrieved.
